3075 Main St, Vancouver
Price: relatively cheap
Feel like I haven't post for a long time, since I am currently in the process of moving. Anyways, if you recall in the entry about Vij's, we ended the meal with a ice cream, but it wasn't very satisfying as it wasn't free or that good anyways. After much discussion, we decided to go for some hot tea, unfortunately it's Sunday, and everywhere closes early, so instead we had to change our plan to get ice cream, and Bellagio's just happen to be the closest one.
They certainly have a huge selection of flavors to choose from. Their ice cream display was interesting as well, it was in a C shape, so the server can easily access all the flavors standing in just one spot.
After sampling quite a few gelato, I have finally decide on 1 scoop of blood orange and 1 scoop of pink grapefruit. With such a careful selection process, the two flavor I received are both very fruity and refreshing. It wasn't overly sweet or have any artificial taste. However I can't say the same for the other flavors I've tried, such as green apple. Simply because I tried so many flavors just to find two I like, I must say I am disappointed with the quality of the gelato. However the price is not bad, if I recall correctly, 2 scoops was priced at $3.50.
The one scoop was $2.50, while the 3 scoops was priced at $4.50. Also the price is tax included, and since it's a Chinese owned shop, it's cash only.
Although the price may be good, but the gelato wasn't, despite the fact that they had a huge selection. So for that reason, I don't think I will be back, as there are many gelato joints in Greater Vancouver.
